Such is the enduring popularity of this melody by Nissan Blumenthal, that it is often attributed as the traditional or ancient melody. As with Hatikva and Leoni's Yigdal, it is primarily based upon the ascending minor scale.
Confusingly, it is often combined with other melodies. In North America it is common to switch to Malavsky's tune at Hashiveinu, and in Australia, many congregations oddly switch to the Lewandowski. But here is the complete melody as written by Blumenthal (with the obligatory tierce de picardie at the end).
