As with Hatikva and Leoni's Yigdal, it is primarily based upon the ascending minor scale. Confusingly, it is often combined with other melodies. In North America it is common to switch to Malavsky's tune at Hashiveinu, and in Australia, many congregations oddly switch to the Lewandowski.
