One of the most well-known and beloved prayers is Sh'ma Koleinu, the emotional apex of Yom Kippur and introduction to the viduy confession. Though we say the opening line of Sh'ma Koleinu every day in our weekday Amida, it is never filled with as much feeling as it is on Yom Kippur. This beautiful, traditional melody is found in the Blue Book, arranged by Francis Lyon Cohen, but is not found in any earlier sources.
"Listen to our voice, Lord our God, spare us and have compassion on us, and accept in compassion and favour our prayers."
