This is one of Bolaffi's most famous compositions (after his well known melody for Psalm 29), and is one of the most dynamic settings for Psalm 150. There is some superb word painting here, including a fanfare of rising thirds leading to a triumphant dominant seventh on the word "t'ruah". Although I've seen this referred to as a Simchat Torah melody, it really does make for an excellent choice on Rosh Hashana.
