Whilst Sulzer's melody is typically used by most congregations for Sh'ma Yisrael on Shabbat, it is customary to switch to a different melody on Festivals. Julius Mombach's melody is traditionally used in many UK synagogues on Yom Tov, though this is certainly less prevalent than it used to be. This is typically followed by Mombach's L'cha Adonai which utilises the same theme. (A few communities use these as their regular Shabbat melodies.)
